N2 - The objective of the research was to analyze the disposition to critical thinking in students of the Professional Academic School of International Business of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Peru, enrolled in the academic semester 2021-I. In this sense, four hypotheses were proposed regarding the correlation between disposition to critical thinking and perceived performance, academic self-efficacy and academic performance, respectively, as well as disposition towards critical thinking. Methodologically, it starts from the quantitative approach and makes use of descriptive and inferential statistics. The instrument for data collection, applied virtually to a sample of 217 students, was the Zaldívar scale (2010), a reliable and valid instrument used to assess critical thinking dispositions. The results confirm hypotheses one and two by showing that there is a statistically significant relationship between disposition to critical thinking and perceived performance and academic self-efficacy, respectively. However, hypothesis three is denied, since there is no statistical evidence to affirm that there is a statistically significant relationship between the disposition to critical thinking and academic performance. Hypothesis four is also denied, since the results significantly reveal that there is not a high level of disposition towards critical thinking in students. It is concluded on the need to design educational programs that promote critical thinking in university students.
